The Lewis and Clark County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill the consolidated Treasurer/Clerk and Recorder’s office following the retirement announcement of current office holder. The position is an elected office; however, per statute, the BoCC must fill the vacated elected office by appointment for the term period of September 26, 2020 through December 31, 2022. General qualifications for the county office, per MT statute, require the person to be of voting age, a citizen of the state and an elector of the county in which the duties of the office are to be exercised.
