19th Annual Blackfoot River Ducks Unlimited Banquet set for Saturday

Ducks Unlimited Blackfoot River Chapter is hosting its 19th Annual Dinner Banquet at the Lincoln Community Hall on Saturday, April 21. Doors open at 5 P.M. A tasty dinner, prepared by Bushwhacker's, will be served at 6 P.M. The evening's activities include live and silent auctions, raffles, games, and giveaways. The silent and live auctions and raffles feature a wide array of items including local and original art, furniture, gift baskets, goods and services from area businesses, and 21 guns up for grabs.

"Our committee holds this annual event to support the Lincoln community and raise funds for wetland conservation. We expect another sellout crowd again this year, and everyone is welcome to attend our family-friendly event," said committee chairs Ernie and Renee Lundberg. "Proceeds from the event go to support DU's wetlands and waterfowl habitat conservation efforts in Montana and all of North America". Most of Montana's wildlife refuges, waterfowl protection areas, and wildlife management areas have had the helping hand of DU project funds.

Ducks Unlimited started 80 years ago to provide critical habit for North America's migratory waterfowl by protecting, restoring, enhancing, and managing important wetlands and associated uplands. This volunteer-based organization is the world's largest waterfowl, wetlands, and wildlife conservation organization. The story doesn't end with waterfowl. More than 900 species of wildlife, as well as a countless array of aquatic- and plant-life, depend on DU projects for habitat. Wetlands are one of the most productive sources of life on the planet. Although wetlands represent less than five percent of the U.S. landmass, they are essential to the survival of more than 35 percent of our threatened or endangered species.

Make plans now to join us in Lincoln for another fun family event and help support wetland conservation. Contact Ernie or Renee at (406) 362-4072 for tickets or more information. Attendees may also register online at http://www.ducks.org/montana/events.
