Thank You for supporting Lincoln Putt – Putt 2018

Lincoln’s 9th Annual Putt - Putt was another great success with friends, family and people from all over Montana coming to join in our Lincoln community fund raiser.

I would like to thank all the people who showed up to help with the setup, our day event, clean up and all of you who brought auction items and baskets to our silent auction! Without all your help and donations, I could not put on this event. The Putt- Putt brings a lot people into town, so the more auctions items we get for the auction, the more money we raise for our town.

We had 51 teams this year, bubbling around town having a great time. Our restaurants, motels and bars were busy for three days with all the people coming to Lincoln for the Putt- Putt. A nice little boost for the town after our long winter.

Over the past nine years, the Putt- Putt has helped many Lincoln entities. A rough estimate of $45,000.00 -$50,000.00 has been given out to the Lincoln Ambulance, our Senior Center Meals on Wheels, Beef meals, help with Thanksgiving & Christmas Dinners meals for our seniors, help in purchasing a new window for the Senior Center and replacing the dish washer. The Community Hall got 250 nice new steak knives and receive a nice donation each year. Lincoln Fire Department also got a boost a time or two. One year the Lincoln Lynx boys’ basketball team got new uniforms and warm up suits for their help with the Putt-Putt. Sam’s Hope, for those of you who don’t know, is a fund put together in memory of Glen and Marge Kolve’s young son, Sam, to help families with children stricken with the horrible disease cancer.

We have managed to do amazing thing with money raised by this event, all money stay’s in Lincoln to help with many needed things.

This year we donated to the newest addition to Lincoln, The Powerhouse, a non-profit recreation and exercise center. It’s a great place for adults and young people to exercise, with many wonderful machines, weights, a pool table and games. The grand opening was June 9. Drop in to check it out. Rick & Patty Freeland have done an amazing job and have great plans for more exciting things once it’s up and running. Lincoln needs to help and support it.

We will be having a 10th Annual Putt- Putt and I hope all of you in town will work on some great auction items so we can have a great auction as well as a great Putt – Putt. Maybe even help your local pit stop through the year with some great new putting greens.

Once again, a big thank you to all the businesses and people who work hard and help put this event on.
