Popular Heritage Day Fashion Show set to return this year

The Upper Blackfoot Valley Historical Society and Time Traveler's Closet are scheduled to host Lincoln's second annual Heritage Day Fashion Show at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Community Hall.

The vintage fashion show first made its appearance at the 2017 Heritage Day event, one of several displays and activities chosen to showcase our rich American history.

After a positive response from participants and spectators alike, organizers decided to make the show an annual event, bringing new life to the wardrobes of our predecessors, thanks to the work of local models and stylists.

This year's fashion show will feature a new selection of garments dating from the 1920's through the 1990's, brief explanations of each era in fashion with special attention paid to context, and another fun and nostalgic soundtrack.

If you're a history buff, enjoy a good show or just wonder what the current "vintage" craze is all about, be sure to stop in to the Hall to enjoy the interactive and informative displays, and stick around to watch us wear our American history on our sleeves.
