Kindergarten Grads ready for 1st Grade

Mr. Curtis Janzen presented the Kindergarten graduation ceremony on Monday, June 3 to the applause and cheers of attending family and friends.

From a curriculum that began with "how to line up," "how to get along with classmates," and advancing to adding, subtracting, writing and reading, the kindergartners did it all.

Each graduate gave a presentation depicting 'What I Want To Do When I Grow Up.' The usual careers of doctor, soldier and policeman were chosen by many, but breaking new ground in visionary pursuits, some described their future career choice as princess, cowboy and ophthalmologist.

"I want to help people see better," Kynleigh Dietz explained,

Each graduate received a special award highlighting his or her special gifts or talents.

Garrett Schwalm received the "Above and Beyond" award for taking his school work to the next level of excellence. Garrett explained his joy at

graduating from kindergarten by saying, "Now I get to go to a new place."

The new place may only be the first-grade classroom down the hall, but next year will be filled with new challenges and new opportunities to be excellent.
