Deputy's Log Aug. 11 - 17

Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received thirty-three Calls for Service in the Lincoln area during the week of Aug. 11 through Aug. 17, 2019.

Seventeen of those Calls for Service were traffic stops and two were civil services performed in and around the Lincoln area by deputies.

One call for service generated a case report last week:

At around 1600 hours Sunday Aug. 11, deputies responded to the 1300 block of Ponderosa Drive for a report of found body parts. The Criminal Investigation Division and Coroner's Division were called to the scene. It was later determined the found remains were bear and not human.  Bears and humans have similar bone structure in the hands and feet which is why the complainant originally called in. There has been no further investigation into this matter.

Other calls for service in the Lincoln area last week were two 911 hang-ups, one injury crash, one animal complaint, one citizen assist, one report of a DUI, one extra patrol request, one road hazard, one suspicious circumstance, one search and rescue call (non-emergent), one welfare check completed and Lincoln ambulance responded to one medical call.

School starts this week which means more tiny humans running around during the morning and afternoon than usual. Traffic violations will be enforced more strictly during drop off and pick-up times. Remember fines double in a school zone, similar to a construction zone. Let's all work together as a community to ensure our little ones make it to school and back, safe and sound.
