Deputy's Log Dec. 8 - Dec. 14

The Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received seven Calls for Service in the Lincoln area during the week of Dec. 8 through Dec. 14, 2019.

One of those were a VIN inspection performed in and around the Lincoln area by deputies.

No calls for service generated a case report last week. Other calls for service in the Lincoln area were one non-injury crash, one injury crash, one false alarm, one investigative call for service, and one suspicious circumstance. Lincoln Ambulance responded to one medical call for service.

Where did all the calls for service go? This was our slowest week in the Lincoln area since I started this log. Due to there not being much to talk about in the realm of crime, I'll update you on new changes in the world of law enforcement related to Lincoln.

If you were not already aware, Lincoln does not have a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper assigned to this area at this time. This means we asked the public for patience when there is a crash on Highway 200 because the investigating trooper most likely is coming from Helena.

On the bright side, your Sheriff's Office has teamed up with Lincoln Public Schools to provide a part-time School Resource Officer program in conjunction with the DARE program. North deputies will be given the necessary training to properly interact with and instruct youth. The school has graciously provided office space on school grounds for SROs to use as needed which provides more of a presence at the school.
