Deputy's Log Jan. 26 - Feb. 1

Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received ten calls for service during the week of Jan. 26 through Feb. 1, 2020.

Two calls for service generated a case report last week:

A deputy took a theft report in the 3000 block of Stemple Pass Road Thursday, Jan. 30. The theft reportedly happened within the last six months and a total of $1800 worth of tools were stolen. This case remains under investigation. The deputy has no further leads or suspects at this time.

A deputy responded to the 3000 block of Stemple Pass Road for a unattended death Saturday, Feb. 1. A male in his seventies was found lying on the front porch to the residence not breathing. The death is under investigation by the coroner's division but at this time there is nothing suspicious in nature about the death.

Other calls for service in the Lincoln area last week were one 911 hang-up, one non-injury crash, one administrative call for service, one investigative call for service and two suspicious circumstances.

The Lincoln Ambulance responded to two calls for service last week.

Update: First Responders in the Lincoln area have had to step back into the past for the last month or so due to radio issues. The harsh wind and rain has wreaked havoc on our radio system, making it so we have to use analog channels. This means I or other responders in the Lincoln area cannot hear radio traffic anywhere else in the county and you have to be in the right spot at the right time to talk to each other. This does not affect us, in Lincoln reaching dispatch or dispatch reaching us. The issue will continue until the radio tower is repaired. Even though this has been a headache for most, Lincoln's finest- fire, medical and deputies - still respond to calls and handle things with the same professionalism and compassion as before. Although, if you see one of us scratching our heads and yelling at our radio, you now know it is not your fault.
