Chamber moving forward with event planning; continuing to update website

The Lincoln Valley Chamber of Commerce met last week to discuss upcoming summer activities. Rummage Days is still in the works and scheduled for the third week in June. At this point the board is also moving forward with plans for the 4th of July Parade as well as the annual fireworks show, although it is uncertain if these events will be able to be held, due to restrictions related to COVID-19 and the phased reopening of the state.

Trails Day plans are also continuing. The event date falls later in the summer, during the second weekend in August, and coordinator Laurie Richards is hesitant to cancel the event this far out.

Another topic at the meeting was the website, which is still undergoing some maintenance as board members are trained to navigate the updating process. Once trained, board members will be able to keep the site fresh with new content and information, as well as updated event and member listings.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 11. The location still to be determined.
