Hey Howdy Hey: Grizzly Hardware

With my time here vastly coming to a close, I am sadly not going to be able to thank all the people, organizations and businesses for all they do for this wonderful little town, I apologize for that.

Lincoln is truly fortunate for all the great services it provides; grocery store, gas station, bank, restaurants, newspaper, just to name a few. One of the businesses I wanted to thank before I go is a business that folks here in Lincoln are extremely fortunate to have. Grizzly Hardware.

In 2004, Deane and Verna Foley bought Grizzly Home Center from Susan Mason. They changed the name to simply, Grizzly Hardware. Deane and Verna are natives of Montana, before moving to Lincoln and taking over the store. Deane held a few different jobs, one especially important one was being in the military for ten years, from 1982 to 1992. Deane was in the Army Infantry. His wife Verna worked for Montana Electronics for six years. They had both lived in Missoula before moving here.

They provide many great services at the store. Lincoln folks are quite fortunate to be able to get lumber, plumbing and painting supplies. They are also an authorized Stihl dealer. So, for the many who rely on wood heat, that is a much-needed service to have. And among all the other services they provide, it is greatly appreciated that they also have hunting and fishing licenses. A customer once told Deane that Grizzly Hardware was a "50-gallon store in a 5-gallon bucket."

I just want to give a big Hey Howdy Hey of thanks to Deane, Verna, and their crew for helping to keep Lincoln moving forward.

Thanks for all you do and God Bless

Jim and Trooper Oly
