Slower than average hunting season in west-central Montana as weather remains mild

MISSOULA – Deer and elk harvest reported at the hunter check stations near Darby, Anaconda, Bonner, and Fish Creek sit below the five-year average as snow depths remain low and temperatures mild. Just under two weeks remain in Montana's general big game hunting season, which closes on November 28.
