Deputy's Log: Aug. 7 to Aug. 20

The Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received seventy-three calls for service during the weeks of Aug. 7 to Aug. 20 in the Lincoln area. Seven of those calls were traffic stops performed by deputies.

We had six cases created over the last two weeks.

A Deputy took a report of a cold domestic disturbance Aug. 8 in the 2000 block of 7up Ranch Rd. The incident was investigated and presented to the County Attorney’s Office for review.

A Deputy took a theft report Aug. 8 in the 900 block of N Fourth St. A firearm amongst other miscellaneous items was reported stolen from the victim’s house. The Deputy has suspects and some leads to follow-up on. If you know anything about this theft, contact Cpl. Jeff Stoltz.

A Deputy took an assault report Aug 11 in the 200 block of Main St. After speaking with the complainant, the deputy determined an assault did not occur. The incident is being documented for informational purposes.

On Hogum Creek Rd Aug. 12, a Deputy responded to a report of an unresponsive male. Medical on scene confirmed the male had died. The Deputy responded as deputy coroner and investigated the death. No suspicious activity was discovered during the investigation.

, A Deputy responded to a male breaking into another person’s house in the 300 block of Main St, Aug. 16. The male was chased off by witnesses involved and fled the scene. A nearby motel called in someone damaging one of their rooms. It turned out to be the suspect from the prior incident. He was taken into custody without further incident and charged with two counts of felony burglary and one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief.

A Deputy responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Eighth Ave., Aug. 16. The cause of the fire was suspicious in nature. The incident remains under investigation. If you have any information regarding the incident, please contact Cpl. Robert Rivera.

Other calls for service in the Lincoln area were nine 911 hang-ups, three non-injury crashes, one agency assist, six animal complaints, one civil service, one citizen assist, one campground check, two disorderly, one disturbance, six extra patrols, three road hazards, one fraud complaint, eleven suspicious circumstances, three theft complaints, three investigative calls, two trespass issues, and one threats complaint.
