Pavement preservation proposed for Highway 200 through Lincoln

Lincoln - The Montana Department of Transportation would like to announce and invite the public to comment on a proposal to improve about 10 miles of Montana Highway 200, around Lincoln. The project begins at the Lewis and Clark County line and extends east through Lincoln, ending before Abe Lincoln Road.

Proposed work includes new centerline asphalt, full-width crack seal and seal and cover (chip seal), and new pavement markings. The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the roadway.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in summer 2023, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations will be needed.

An important part of properly planning for future projects is partnering with the community. The Montana Department of Transportation welcomes the public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project. Comments may be submitted online at http://www.mdt.mt.gov/contact/comment-form.aspx or in writing to Montana Department of Transportation, Great Falls office, PO Box 1359, Great Falls, MT 59403-1359. Please note that comments are for project UPN 9960000.

The public is encouraged to contact Great Falls District Preconstruction Engineer James Combs at 406-788-2773 or Project Design Engineer RJ Snyder at 406-459-5294 with questions or comments about the project.
