Photos taken two days apart show the effect the rainstorm that hit the area on the night of May 9 had on Lincoln Gulch Road. The May 8 photo (left) shows erosion beginning to wear away the road in the same area that washed out in 2011. Floodwaters swollen by rain completely washed out the road and the culvert. .
Recent high water in the Lincoln area impacted several parts of the valley as low and mid elevation snows melted, swelling the Blackfoot River and the many creeks in the area that feed into it.
