The weekend of Sept 15, 2018, the Wilderness Bar hosted the 6th Annual Car Show. There were 20 entries this year, up quite a few from last year. Mother Nature provided us with a beautiful fall day, and Lincoln was alive with classic car enthusiasts.
We had four categories of models and also awarded a hard luck prize.
Best Ford - Darryl Worley – 1947 Ford half- ton pickup. Darryl is from Seeley Lake
Best Chevy – Ken Brouchu – 1967 Olds 442 Convertible. Ken is from Seeley Lake
Best Mopar – Sandy Karnes – 69 Charger. Sandy is from Great Falls
Best of the Rest – Ray Knoble 1939 Olds Coupe. Ray is from Great Falls
Hard Luck – 1972 Chrysler New Yorker. George Forsyth from Great Falls. George was involved in an unfortunate accident Friday night. He was given a $50 gift certificate.
Trophies were awarded to the other winners. Jason Garneau from After Image Metal art made the beautiful trophies.
The poker walk was won by LeiLani Garneau – High hand. Jody Reisback – Low hand.
Lincoln school athletic department made out with $183 from the 50/50 drawing. Reggie Heikkla won the other half.
The Reisbecks, who are the new owners of the Wilderness and Scapegoat, set up a food stand in the beer garden, which was donation only. The money -$119 - was given to The Powerhouse, the new gym in the old bank building.
I want to thank Kathy Mann, Reggie and Hallie for all your help. Thank you to Mikey Brown and Steve Hartman for taking the trophy photos and printing them.
My last but not in any way the least, my heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at the Wilderness Bar and Scapegoat Eatery.
