Solvie breaks out her saxophone for a special performance

Barb Solvie said she hasn't played her saxophone in a formal setting in many years, although she often brings her saxophone out during the annual Independence Day parade.

She said the instrument is historic in its own right.

Solvie got the saxophone 80 years ago, when she was 9 years old, and said it was used and refurbished when she received it. She said its possible the instrument could be more than a century old, but that it still plays beautifully.
