Down and Dirty With The Mud Run

More than 30 people showed up to the Cyr property north of Highway 200 to take part in the Lincoln High Social Entrepreneur Classes first Mud Run. The half mile route, run twice, began near the Cyr's gravel pit. Runners navigated a shallow mud pit, and stepped though a set of tires before heading over the hill and dropping down to cross Keep cool Creek. Then it was over a set of hay bales, back across the creek and back up the hill. Runners then had to slide down a slip and slide into another mud pit before low crawling , through mud again, under an obstacle.

The runners in the second heat racked up the best times, with Hayden Dempster completing both laps in 11 minutes, 34 seconds. James Gilbert came in behind him at 12 minutes, 14 seconds with Asa Lattin hot on his heels at 12 minutes, 26 seconds.
