The Continental Divide Trail Coalition is hosting a summer-long celebration of the diverse communities along the Continental Divide Trail called Faces of the Continental Divide: Sharing Stories, Connecting Communities and are inviting folks from Lincoln to take part by hosting an event or sharing stories with us.

The CDTC is hoping to connect with local groups or organizations engaged in recreating on and stewarding the Continental Divide tha might be interested in getting involved.

For more information email [email protected]. To get involved or register an event, go to  www.continentaldividetrail.org/faces

The CDTC is also expanding their Gateway Community Ambassador Program trail-wide in an effort to increase inclusivity, diversity and access to the CDNST.

The CDTC is looking for locals who are passionate about trails, public lands and community engagement, and who want to spend time on the CDT.

Gateway Community Ambassadors share their knowledge about the CDT with the community by hosting at least three CDT-related events a year. In return, CDTC will help the ambassadors by offering support to take classes or to seek outdoor training like a Backpacking class or Wilderness First Aid Course.

Community Ambassador applicants must live in one of the CDT Gateway Communities., be 18 years or older, and must be willing to share their experience with their community and on social media..
