Klara Varga, Lincoln Ranger District biological technician and a botanist, led the group, comprised of three women and a good dog, on a Native Plant Walk Oct. 26 that included a variety of terrain. From the riparian ecosystem of the Blackfoot river to the hillsides at Alice Creek, she explained how to identify native plants in their winter environment.
