Does Your Organization need Money?

If your group needs to raise money for upcoming projects, then plan on attending the Grant writing webinar at the Lincoln Library on Tuesday, Jan.14 from 9-10 a.m. This is a free course for any group or organization that needs to find more funding.

“Grants can offer valuable opportunities for small communities, nonprofits, and other organizations to extend their reach and accomplish their goals. The Lincoln Library is working together with the Lincoln Council for the Arts to provide several opportunities for Lincoln residents and groups to learn more about grants and grant-writing,” said Kate Radford, Lincoln’s librarian. “This first event is a webinar provided by Elevate, and we hope it will give attendees, especially beginners, a good foundation for grant-writing. Folks can also sign up for this webinar on their own by visiting https://www.elevatedeffect.com/event/free-webinar-how-to-write-your-first-grant/.”

According to elevatedeffect.com, the webinar can answer questions about the grant writing and serve as a how-to for jump-starting the grant writing process. The webinar will walk participants through basic do’s and don’ts of grant writing. By the end, particpants should understand the different types of grants and the pros and cons of each, as well as the anatomy of a grant proposal, the information to include in each section; how to tell a compelling story that gets funders’ attention and the number one thing most new grant writers forget to do before submitting a grant.

Contact Kate Radford at the Library or go to https://www.elevatedeffect.com/event/free-webinar-how-to-write-your-first-grant/ to register for the course.
