Lincoln students get down to business with BPA

The Lincoln High School Business Professionals of America Club competed in the Regional Leadership Conference for Region 2 in Missoula Monday, Dec. 16. Region 2 includes the Lincoln, Drummond, Granite, Victor, St. Regis, Florence, Clark Fork and Hellgate school districts.

According to Lincoln High School Business and Technology teacher Laura Allen-Bullis, seven students participated in various business related events at regionals, and six of the seven will be advancing on to the State Leadership Conference in Billings in early March.

According to the Montana BPA website, it is an "intra-curricular activity that is part of an education program designed to develop leadership abilities, competency in business occupations and interest in the American business system." There are 103 BPA Chapters in Montana, which is divided into eight regions.

Nationally, BPA has 23 state associations and more than 43,000 members.
