Deputy's Log: June1 14-20

Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received nineteen calls for service during the week of June 14 through June 20.

Deputies performed six traffic stops and one civil service in the Lincoln area.

One call for service generated a case report last week:

A Deputy took a theft report out on S. Lincoln Gulch Road, Saturday, June 20. One item was stolen, a weed trimmer. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Other calls for service in the Lincoln area were two 911 hang-ups, one non-injury crash, four campground checks, two citizen assists, and one welfare check completed.

Lincoln ambulance responded to two calls for service.

We are continuing to respond to reports of shooting in the 4x4 Road area.

As of now, all reports were investigated and the shooting was considered safe and on private property. It was also made known, shooting is possibly occurring on state land across Highway 200 near the gravel pit.

A good reminder for residents is there are no recreational shooting restrictions in the Lincoln area except when it comes to hunting big game animals.

Deputies do not enforce "residential area, no shooting" signs. Although, if the shooting is deemed unsafe by the deputy, the individual would face felony charges of Criminal Endangerment.
