Deputy's Log

Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received thirty-four calls for service during the week of Aug. 9 to Aug. 15, 2020. Deputies performed four traffic stops and one civil service in the Lincoln area.

Two of those calls generated a case report last week:

A cold domestic disturbance was reported at an address off of Stemple Pass Road Aug. 10. The incident occurred the night before and the reporting party is not from the Lincoln area. This case remains under investigation but a suspect is known and there is no threat to the public at this time.

A pistol was discovered in the Bob Marshal Aug. 13 and turned in at the Sheriff's Office for safe keeping until a owner attempts to retrieve it.

Other calls for service in the Lincoln area last week were five 911 hang-ups, one agency assist, three animal complaints, one criminal mischief, one disorderly individual, one disturbance, one family disturbance, one road hazard, two investigative calls, two protection order violation complaints, four suspicious circumstances, one trespass complaint and two welfare checks completed.

Lincoln Ambulance responded to two medical calls for service.

I received a number of traffic complaints from different individuals about speeding on the paved part of Stemple Pass Road. In response to these complaints you will see more of a presence on Stemple Pass Rd going forward. The speed limit on the paved part of the road is 25 mph (I know it's so slow but for everyone's safety) and it's posted. If you're one of those good doers and obey traffic laws in the Lincoln area, odds are you won't be pulled over and inconvenienced.
