First Week of 67th Legislative Session sees new Governor, COVID-19 plans and gun bills

Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte unveils his budget proposal alongside Budget Director Kurt Alme at a press conference in the Montana Capitol Thursday. Gianforte said his budget would invest $1 million in trade education, provide $2.5 million in incentives to school districts to increase starting teacher pay and cut taxes for individuals and businesses.
