Rob Henrekin and the first, and only, wolf he has caught all season take one last look at each other. He drives his trapline every day from Dec. 15 - Feb. 28. He has been trapping wolves since the season started in Montana in 2012-2013. He has gotten 15 wolves to date. "Each one of those wolves has a story," Henrekin said looking at the furs hung on his wall. "They take me back to a different place and a different time."
Seeley Lake – Just after sunrise Saturday, Jan. 9, local wolf trapper Rob Henrekin fired up his snowmobile to check his trapline, something he has done every day since the wolf season opened Dec. 15. While he had seen tracks from a pair of wolves Dec. 24, he had not had a single visit to his 40 plus foothold traps.
