Eighteen co-ed softball teams descended on Hooper Park last weekend as the 39th Annual Bob Purdy Softball Tournament got underway.

Tournament organizer Doug Richards said the teams had a great time and they all want to come back again next year.

Laurie Richards said two of the teams that had never been to the tournament before said they'll make a point never to miss it. "They had a great time....
