Danny C. Wallace "Dan or WALLY" of Lincoln Mont. passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Nov. 9 2023. He was 72 years old.
His family and many friends are missing his presence in their life. Dan was born Nov. 11,1950 in Soap Lake, Wash. He was the third child of Arnold and Laurene Wallace. Dan grew up in Ephrata, Wash. and he had many fond stories of his childhood. I
n 1971, after Dan had traveled around the United States and Mexico, he came home to Ephrata. With his friends, he bought 20 acres up North called "The Land" and every Labor Day they had a Horseshoe Tournament. Dan won this year's 51st Tournament for the first time.
Dan loved his friends from the Land and is still close to them this day. Dan moved to Cle Elum, Wash. and in 1991 met his wife, Susie Wallace. They had a full life raising four kids and enjoying family. Dan was so proud that he had 31 years of sobriety, he kept first 30 day chip to remind were he came from, and how far he's come.
In 2001, Dan and family moved to Lincoln, Mont. There Dan started his own construction company. He built many houses around Lincoln. He loved living in Montana and enjoyed hunting, horseback riding (especially in the back country), fishing, ice fishing or just driving the dirt roads looking for wood.
In 2016 he was blessed with a liver transplant. We called them the bonus years; nine extra years that Dan spent time with family and friends and to tell his stories. Dan is survived by his loving wife Susie Wallace, Sons: Stacey Vrem and Cody Wallace, step daughters: LuAnn(Simon) Rose, Rebecka Whitacre( Richard Fitting), and Magan Whitacre, seven Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild, Sisters: Sharon, Shirley, and Beth, Nephews and a Niece and extended family. Services will be held 1 P.m. on Dec. 9th, 2023 at the Lincoln Community Hall in Lincoln, Mont. Pastor Art McCafferty will be the officiant.
