From My Perspective: Putting Aside our Differences

Holy cow! In the last ten days we’ve seen the start of a war, the release of Pfizer court documents regarding the COVID vaccine side effects, and our little town of Lincoln is fighting and divided over a community master plan. Pile all of that onto two years of a pandemic and isolation and we have the makings of a sad and hostile environment.

Never in my life did I think I would see the day that we’d be faced with another world war, and a time when people would be worrying about a nuclear attack. That was so the 80’s, but apparently, we didn’t learn a whole lot from that history lesson.

My more liberal friends blame Putin for this war. My conservative friends blame Biden. I think they’re both to blame, as well as leaders before them. Regardless

of who is to be blamed, innocent people and a true leader in Ukraine are fighting for their lives and for their country. They are a people and a nation who, even in the best of times, have come together and now we’re seeing their true patriotism show. It makes me wonder, if the United States were under a similar attack, would we put aside our political, racial and seemingly menial differences and come together for the good of the country? Sadly, at this point in time, I’m not sure we would.

Why don’t I think so? Well, let me explain…

There has been a pandemic that caused so much divisiveness over the last two years over mask wearing, isolation, vaccines, mandates and so on. If one side believed in something that the other side didn’t, each side was blamed and, in my opinion, suffered.

There were people who believed and still believe in the vaccine, and there were those who felt something just wasn’t quite right and chose not to get it. Both sides went at each other like cats and dogs, fighting over who was right when really, it should have been a medical choice for both sides, and in my opinion,a private choice, not a mandate or another reason to divide an already divided climate. As it turns out, the 38-page report from Pfizer (nine of which are devoted solely to the adverse effects of the vaccine), was made available to the public earlier in the week due to a law suit. Now mind you, the public was never meant to see this document. Personally, I’m grateful we can.

The document can be found on the Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency website https://phmpt.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/5.3.6-post-marketing-experience.pdf. The nonprofit group, made up of numerous health and medical professionals, along with scientists and journalists exists, solely to disseminate data relied on by the FDA. They take no position on the data other than it should be made publicly available.

In addition to this document, there are other documents directly from Pfizer, as well as court documents. I know, most of you have never heard of this website and many of you haven’t heard about this report because it isn’t being put out there in our normal media outlets. But the information is out there for those who care to look.

Also, keep in mind this report from Pfizer was written in February of 2021, which was before they rolled out the vaccine to the public. That means they knew about the side effects and adverse reactions. Please, let that sink in - THEY KNEW and, in my opinion, didn’t care. To me what they seemingly cared about was the profit they were about to make.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but it does seem odd to me that suddenly the COVID narrative is changing. Now it’s not as threatening, the surge is tapering off, mask mandates are being relaxed if not altogether removed, the push for vaccines is waning. Is it because it’s true that the science in all of it has changed, or because the truth of vaccines and everything else are coming out? If you think with an open mind,

it should make you question those things, as well as whether it might be because midterm elections are right around the corner. If you just think about it without any political bias, does it not seem a little peculiar that everything would change right around that time?

As far as our little town and the community master plan, one just needs to look at our local Facebook pages. Some people weren’t aware of a meeting or the documents that had been in place. They believe they were misled with photos and didn’t receive enough information.

Those who are questioning what’s going on are being told they should be more involved and shouldn’t be asking questions, while even those involved weren’t aware of everything going on. Some feel it’s been a secretive effort to make Lincoln something that it’s not, and something several community members don’t want it to be. I have my own opinions on the subject - I always have an opinion, which must surprise you all. Regardless of my opinions, which I won’t share here for now, I encourage everyone to complete a survey form in the next week to make sure your thoughts and opinions are heard - no matter which side of the community fence you stand on. It’s important that everyone’s voice be heard.

We always seem so ready to fight for what we believe in, we don’t always look at all the facts, and, we’re so tied to our personal feelings or agendas, we can’t come together for the good of a town, a state, a country, or the world. I’m just as guilty of it as anyone else but now, more than ever we need to give people a chance, and we need come together or there will be nothing to come together for.
